24 Aug Lt Gov. endorses Nix, condemns opponents attacks
Orlando, Florida. — Today Lt. Governor Carlos Lopez-Cantera endorsed Mikaela Nix for State House, District #47. On the heels of learning about the attacks by her opponent, the Lt. Governor decided to publicly back Nix.
“I am proud to endorse my friend and fellow conservative Mikaela Nix for State Representative. The attacks by her opponent are shameful and without merit. Mikaela has a passion for helping people and a love for the law. There’s no doubt that she would be an effective leader for the citizens of District 47. On August 28, please vote for Republican Mikaela Nix. She’s my friend. I endorse her and I hope you will support her.”

“I am honored that the Lt. Governor reached out to me and volunteered his support. I have worked hard to get to where I am today, and I am proud that it is recognized by leaders of our state,” said Mikaela Nix.
Mikaela Nix, 35, a lawyer who has been active in the Republican Party since college. Mikaela lives in College Park with her husband and son.
Florida House, District #47 is currently held by Mike Miller of Winter Park. The district covers, Downtown Orlando, Baldwin Park, Belle Isle, Edgewood, Winter Park, College Park and surrounding areas. The Republican Primary for this district and others will be held next Tuesday, August 28th.
